Designing, Thinking, Learning:
Promoting D&T outside of school hours

There's a plethora of options for extended out-of-school hours provision, but we offer something unique. How about providing the opportunity for hands-on engagement in a DTLearn after school club?

Our after school clubs feature project-based activities usually spanning 6 weeks. Throughout this duration, children will delve into the entire design cycle, from conceptualizing their product to crafting it using a variety of tools and materials, and ultimately evaluating their work.

Led by Richard Brown, an experienced primary school teacher with a B.Ed in Primary D&T and an M.Ed. in Primary Education (with a focus on D&T), our in-person after school clubs ensure a rich learning experience. Rich is DBS checked, and all club activities adhere to rigorous risk assessments.

Here's some key information about DTLearn after school clubs:
- Projects run for usually 6 weeks, requiring consistent attendance for project completion.
- Children engage in the complete design cycle, from initial concept to testing and evaluation.
- A minimum of 12 children is required for a club to run, with a maximum class size of 20.
- We can organize an assembly to introduce the club to your children at a convenient time.
- Currently, our services are available only to schools within a 10-mile radius of the CB24 postcode due to limited availability.
